When a voltage is applied to a piezoelectric material, the material will elongate or shorten along the direction of the electric field, and this phenomenon is called the piezoelectric effect. On the contrary, when an external force is applied to a piezoelectric material, a voltage is generated, and this phenomenon is called the inverse piezoelectric effect. The ultrasonic vibrating screen transducer utilizes the inverse piezoelectric effect to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy, thereby generating ultrasonic waves.

 

There are various types of ultrasonic vibrating screen transducers, among which the most commonly used types are sheet and rod types. The transducer of the thin plate ultrasonic vibrating screen consists of piezoelectric ceramic discs and metal sheets, which are connected to the piezoelectric ceramic discs through electrodes. When an AC voltage is applied to the electrode, the piezoelectric ceramic disc will generate stretching vibration, which in turn drives the vibration of the metal sheet. The rod-shaped ultrasonic vibrating screen transducer consists of piezoelectric ceramic rods and metal rods, which are connected to the piezoelectric ceramic rods through electrodes. When AC voltage is applied to the electrode, the piezoelectric ceramic rod will generate stretching vibration, which in turn drives the metal rod to vibrate.
