In the use of ultrasonic transducers that require high power to remove dirt without having to think about the surface damage of the work piece, a lower cleaning frequency in the range 20 kHz to 30 kHz is often chosen. Cleaning frequencies in this range are often used to clean large, heavy parts or work pieces with high density data. High frequencies are often used to clean smaller, finer parts, or to purge large particles. High frequencies are also used for use where damage to the surface of the work piece is not allowed. The use of high frequency can improve the cleaning function in several ways.
