Earthquakes are devastating disasters, and the epicenter begins deep in the Earth’s crust, making it difficult to predict before, putting humanity in an awkward situation of helplessness. The sensitivity of piezoelectric ceramics to external forces allows them to even sense the disturbance of flying insects flapping their wings to the air more than ten meters away. Using it to make piezoelectric seismographs can accurately measure earthquake intensity, indicate the direction and distance of earthquakes. This cannot be said to be a great feat of piezoelectric ceramics.
