Ultrasonic spot welding machines are divided into: ultrasonic spot welding machines, ultrasonic plastic spot welding machines, riveting spot welding machines, ultrasonic metal welding machines, ultrasonic metal spot welding machines, ultrasonic welding machines, aluminum nickel welding machines, polymer battery positive pole spot welding machines, lithium battery negative pole spot welding machines, aluminum to nickel spot welding machines, amorphous silicon spot welding machines, etc.
The welding principle of ultrasonic spot welding machine is to convert 50/60 Hz current into 15, 20, 30 or 40 kHz electrical energy through an ultrasonic generator. The converted high-frequency electrical energy is converted into mechanical motion of the same frequency again through a transducer, and then the mechanical motion is transmitted to the welding head through a set of amplitude modulation devices that can change the amplitude. The welding head transfers the received vibration energy to the joint of the workpiece to be welded, where the vibration energy is converted into thermal energy through friction, melting the plastic. The brief pressure maintained on the workpiece after the vibration stops causes the two weldments to solidify into one through molecular linkage. Generally, the welding time is less than 1 second, and the obtained welding strength can be comparable to the body. Ultrasound can not only be used to weld hard thermoplastic plastics, but also to process fabrics and thin films. The main components of an ultrasonic welding system include an ultrasonic generator, transducer/amplitude modulator/welding head triplet, mold, and frame.
