The ultrasonic intensity (sound power) in a liquid sound field is the most important indicator of an ultrasonic system. It has a direct impact on the cleaning effect of the cleaning machine and the working efficiency of the ultrasonic processing machine. The ultrasonic power (sound intensity) tester can quickly and conveniently measure the intensity of the sound field anytime, anywhere, and intuitively provide sound power values.
According to the different usage occasions, the ultrasonic power tester can be made into a portable and online monitoring type.
Working principle:
The measuring instrument utilizes the positive piezoelectric properties of piezoelectric ceramics, known as the piezoelectric effect. When we apply a force to a piezoelectric ceramic, it can convert that force into an electrical signal. Under the same conditions, the stronger the force, the higher the voltage. If the magnitude of the force changes in a certain period, the piezoelectric ceramic outputs an AC voltage signal of the same frequency. Due to cavitation and other disturbances, the actual voltage waveform is the superposition of a main wave and many secondary waves. To understand the actual waveform of the sound field, it is recommended to observe it using a spectrum analyzer or oscilloscope.
Connection:
The output terminal of the detector should be connected to the input terminal of a universal AC microvolt meter or AC millivolt meter. The instrument range can generally be set at 300mv or 3v. The actual waveform state of the ultrasonic wave output at the OUTPUT end. If necessary, an external oscilloscope or spectrum analyzer can be used for observation. The head of the probe is a sensitive area for ultrasound.
Measurement:
Hold the handle of the probe, insert the probe head into the area to be measured, and observe the output of the detector. This voltage value V represents the ultrasonic intensity of the measurement area. If the range of the voltmeter is not suitable, please adjust it at any time.
