While electronic devices and control circuits are developing, most existing ultrasonic power supplies use dedicated integrated control chips, and corresponding ultrasonic control technologies are constantly being updated. The transition of large ultrasonic generator power supply from analog control circuit to digital control computer is a groundbreaking advancement. The combination of microcontroller and analog circuit is used to generate PWM signals, which can not only eliminate the problems of high power loss, poor universality, inflexible control, and temperature drift in analog control circuit.
There are many advantages to the digital control of the power supply for large ultrasonic generators, such as the ability to easily adjust parameters, change program software and control schemes, simplify hardware structure, automatically diagnose faults, and automatically save operating data. Digital control generally adopts three methods to achieve digital control of ultrasonic power supply.
Although the power supply of a large ultrasonic generator can achieve high-precision and high stability control characteristics, realizing flexible and diverse control functions, due to the limitation of its operating frequency, the frequency resolution of the output PWM signal is low, making it difficult to meet the frequency fine-tuning requirements. In response to the many problems with the ultrasonic power supply mentioned above, this article is based on PWM technology and uses a microcontroller combined with analog integrated circuits to form an intelligent control system. A digital ultrasonic power supply with stable performance, easy control adjustment, and low cost has been developed.
